Snow Leopard 10.6.8 OS X (on disc) mounted & Mountain Lion 10.8.5 OS X (on disc) mounted.
Apple Store NOW says El Capitan will run on this machine (Mac Pro Early 2008), costing approx. a $20.00 download (might still be free for the Mountain Lion).

Have iLife & iWork for both OS Xs and I have last version of iDVD (on discs)

This computer was originally bought in September 2008, was use for less than 6 moths then put into storage. I bought it in January 2013 put in the new 500gb HD and bought Snow Leopard. I installed the OS X and put it in storage. I bought the Mountain Lion OS X (July 2015) and put it back in storage. Some people who are into gaming replace the video card with an ATI Radeon HD 7950-3072MB, but the apple store says the video card in the machine will work well for normal use with Mavericks, Yosemite & El Capitan.
