MSN Messenger otherwise known as Windows Live Messenger was designed and developed by Microsoft as a instant messaging/chat client for its users spread across 7 platforms that are:
• Windows
• Blackberry
• Zune
• Apple iOS
• Xbox 360
• Java ME
• And S60 operating on the Symbian OS 9.x
It was initially downloaded under MSN’s trade name but in its later years after 2005, it was rebranded and downloaded under the name Windows Live. MSN was one of the most widely used messaging platforms with new active users forming a base of approximately 330 million each month. However due to Microsoft’s acquisition of Skype, MSN messenger was discontinued in the year 2013.
However if you are still using it, chances are that you are facing some problems with it. Thus to know, how to fix msn messenger problems, follow the points and instructions mentioned below:
• Problems related to logins are sometimes caused by incorrect date and time settings. Set the correct date and time. Restart your computer and check if the problem persists.
• Disable firewall by clicking on the start button. In the search bar type firewall.cpl and press enter. Choose the option – Turn windows firewall on or off. Thereafter turn it off for Home and the Public Network.
• Ensure that the proxy settings are disabled in the Internet explorer by opening the internet options located in tools and choosing to automatically detect settings in LAN settings under the “Connections” Tab
• Open Internet Explorer. Navigate to Internet options as shown in the step above. In the “Advanced” tab, under “security” remove the check for server ccertificate revocation. Restart the computer and test to see if MSN is working.

If any of them is missing. Reinstall the messenger again.
• Or the last option is to uninstall MSN Messenger and then reinstall it again.
